Manager, Marketing and Outreach

We are seeking a forward-thinking business professional for our new Imaging Center. Manager, Marketing and Outreach will be responsible for the overall direction, development, implementation and evaluation of strategic programs, including developing and maintaining relationships with referring physicians, faculty, hospital leadership and staff, as well as the community at large. Programs include physician relations, referral services, community relations, partnerships and identifying and attracting new clients.

We require a Bachelor's degree, minimum of 10 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center or equivalent education and experience. Must be community-oriented and have at least 5 years of experience involving high-level scope and responsibility in the development and management of clinical programs and staff. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are a must, as is a background in program planning, business development and budgeting. Experience with methods of market research, sales and program marketing is helpful. A valid CA driver's license is required.

Senior Client Manager

Vice President, Business Development

AORN has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a VP, Business Development. AORN is the national association committed to improving patient safety, and premier resource for perioperative nurses. The Association of periOperative Registered Nurses is composed of approximately 41,000 members in all 50 states and around the world.

Position Summary: The VP, Business Development will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of the organization’s business development strategies, policies, objectives and initiatives. Responsible for developing new market initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities and corresponding revenue/profitability targets for new product offerings related to AORN’s mission, vision, values and strategic business initiatives. Conducts financial feasibility studies, effective and actionable market research and develops proposals for new business opportunities. In conjunction with the Executive Director, Foundation Director and others, collaborates in developing the strategic alliances with corporations, regulatory organizations, associations, and GPOs in order to identify opportunities for partnering to develop new products and services to enhance patient care. Responsible and accountable for licensing initiatives and programs; duties include negotiating contracts, initiating proposals, ensuring legal compliance with lobbying efforts, copyrights, contracts, and other areas of corporate compliance. The VP, Business Development will provide product/solution teams with a detailed market overview to collaboratively explore opportunities and energize organization for new product innovation and development. Responsible for working with AORN Departments and teams to assess new content, content requiring revision, identify potential products for acquisition, assist with the business case development, evaluate the critical success factors for these products and monitor the progress during product development. The VP, Business Development will influence the marketing and sales efforts for the products to ensure they meet established financial goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Research and develop new products and strategic alliances ensuring a strategic fit of the idea to the vision, mission and values of the organization. • Identify and develop core competencies needed for success • Conduct high level market analysis • Develop and manage annual business plans identifying key activities, priorities and risks • Build relationships and manage the delivery of a consultation process with stakeholders in line with future strategies • Collaborate on identifying products (books, online content delivery, CDs, etc.) from established/current content. • Improve product development efficiency and productivity. Minimizing turnaround times and related costs of new product development. Maximizing workload and capacity. • Identify and contract with new distribution sources. • Prioritize projects and production scheduling. • Design standardization, performance and quality control measures. • Ensure legal compliance while drafting and consummating mutually advantageous agreements that increase the likelihood of success for all parties. • Ongoing evaluation of the current portfolio of products/solutions, including improvement, unmet needs and sunset opportunities/plans. • Develop new delivery methods for established/current content. • Responsible for the management and leadership of business development and strategic alliances and direct management of one staff member. • Responsible for mentoring, coaching, reward and recognition as well as performance management.

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in business management or healthcare; advanced degree preferred (MBA) • Requires 8-10 years of business development experience with up-to-date knowledge of healthcare trends related to technology, political arena, regulatory changes, reimbursement, and demographics. • Visionary "big picture" oriented, business orientation, self starter, entrepreneurial, externally focused, goal directed and ability to lead through influence • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; presentation skills to executive level and quantitative abilities (Excel, business plans, metrics, etc.) • Ability to work with diverse groups effectively • Demonstrates and holds others accountable for demonstrating organizational values of: communication, quality, innovation and diversity Working Conditions: Work at a desk in an office environment using telephone, computer, copy machine, and related business machines.
